Kevin Schaelling has been teaching guitar and music for over 30 years. He earned his Masters of Music Education degree from the world acclaimed music program at the
University of North Texas, and a Bachelors of Music in Guitar performance from Utah
State University. Before going full time at the Academy, Kevin was the guitar professor at Tarrant County College Southeast Campus where he taught private and group classes for 6 years. He was lucky enough to attend one of the only universities in the country (USU) that taught guitar pedagogy, (the art of teaching guitar) and passes this knowledge along to his teachers and students.
His performances include places such as Mexico, Japan, Korea, Alaska, Guam, Martial Islands, Okinawa, Austraillia, and more.
His self produced debut CD made the Grammy
Awards contending for "Best Instrumental Pop Album". "The Rain in
Spain" was personally sponsored by Grammy Award winning
producer/engineer Phil York of Dallas, Texas (the Rolling Stones, Willie
Nelson etc.). Kevin is now a member of the Grammys and a Grammy voter.

Kevin is committed to teaching, performing and producing music in the North Texas area.
